Director & Mortgage & Protection Consultant

Dawn Chapman

I have worked in the finance industry for over 20 years, including working in banks and as a London-based mortgage broker dealing with high-net-worth clients.

I have worked in the finance industry for over 20 years and have done all sorts, such as working in banks, being a London-based mortgage broker dealing with high-net-worth clients and even arranging a few million-pound mortgages.

I relocated from the South East to the North West in 2011 and absolutely love living by the sea. And where else but Morecambe Bay? Those views and sunsets are amazing!

In my spare time, I love to read, enjoy walking, be creative and draw, play computer games and can often be found with a pot of 2ps in Morecambe amusements.

I have my own property portfolio, which helps me understand what it means to be a landlord and how difficult and frustrating it can be to obtain Buy to Let and Limited Company Buy to Let mortgages.

My approach to business is to treat everyone how I would want to be treated and understand that everyone is unique and wants to be listened to. You are not a number.

Having entered the finance industry in 2017, I have gained experience across various sectors before focusing on my role as a Mortgage and Protection Consultant.

Throughout my career, I have had the privilege of working with clients nationwide, specialising in assisting those with visas or limited residency time in the UK.

I enjoy guiding both new and returning clients through their mortgage journey, helping them evaluate their options and work towards a positive financial outlook.

I travel into the office from Lancaster, where I live with my husband and our adorable little dog, Saffy. In my free time, I enjoy gardening, reading and adventures in our van conversion.

Helping people achieve their property goals is one of the best parts of my job. Whether it is buying a first home, moving to a forever home or helping clients unlock funds to transform the home they already love, I enjoy being part of such an important milestone.

Before becoming a mortgage adviser, I worked in estate agency, giving me a great understanding of the home-buying journey from both sides.

My aim is to make mortgages feel straightforward, explain everything clearly and be someone my clients can rely on from start to finish.

Outside of work, I am married with two wonderful children and a cat who definitely thinks he is in charge.

I have been with The Mortgage Partners for over a year and still could not be happier. I love coming into work and spending the day with the team, who I now see more as friends.

As the Mortgage Administrator, my work involves a lot of client-focused tasks. I love this because I get to speak with clients, make a connection and help them on their journey.

When I am not at the office, I am at home by the sea in Morecambe, looking after a toddler and a pre-teen.

I have also restarted my running journey. If you see me down the promenade or in the village, please give me a wave.

It has been a whirlwind since I joined The Mortgage Partners in 2021. Every day is different, but that is what I enjoy.

My role has evolved since I started and is now more focused on the protection side of the business. This can be particularly satisfying when a client needs to make a claim.

Knowing that I can help reassure clients and support them through the claims process is a rewarding aspect of my role.

In my spare time, I create bold and colourful designs as a freelance surface pattern designer. I am always developing my style and finding new inspiration.

Living by the sea in Morecambe is perfect for me and my family. Maui, our energetic cockapoo, loves running on the beach and joining me on walks in the Lake District.

Office Mascot

I am the office mascot and live with Sinead and her family. I am allowed to visit the office when my mum says I can, and I enjoy visiting because I receive lots of fuss and attention.

My favourite things to do are walking on Morecambe beach and exploring along the canal, where there are lots of interesting smells and things to investigate.

When I am in the office, my role is to be cute, adorable and greet clients when they arrive. It is a role I excel at.
